-Non-Small Cell lung cancer


Lung cancer is divided into two major types. It is non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. Non-small cell lung cancer is more divided into several types depending on the structure of the cell under the microscope. There are three main types of lung cancer non-small cell - squamous cell; large carcinoma and adenocarcinoma.

Squamous cell carcinoma is also known as the glandular carcinoma.Squamous cells resemble thin flat cells the microscope.Carcinome large cell carcinoma may begin of different types of large cells.

Adenocarcinoma starting from mucus secretory cells of the alveoli.

Other rare lung of small non-carcinoma subtypes are carcinoid, pleomorphic and carcinoma gland salivary.

The most common lung cancer risk factor is smoking persistent smoking increases the risk of each year.Smoking cessation reduces the risk, but risk is never completely disappeared .d ' other risk factors include exposure to air pollution, radiation therapy, asbestos, radon, chromium, arsenic, soot and tar.

Most of the time that lung cancer is asymptomatic without signs and symptoms found in radiological routine.Les review key signs and symptoms include a persistent cough, difficult breathing, hoarseness of voice, loss of appetite, loss of weight and the fatigue.Les tests that must be performed for diagnosis and staging of lung cancer in non-small cell include radiological chest, CT scan, scan for detection of malignant cells, sputum cytology, fine needle aspiration biopsy bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy and thoracocentesis PET examination.

Features that affect prognosis of the disease include general condition of the patient, type of cancer of the lung and the severity of symptoms.
